Today, our 4th year PhD, Nesrine, has just arrived in Houston for the SMS 37th annual conference on “Unconventional Strategies for Emerging Complexity and Intensifying Diversity”.

Starting on October 28th, the conference will deal with the increasingly complex and diverse challenges organizations are facing today (from immigration and climate change to global cities and technological innovation) and the various strategies adopted to address them.

As part of the track “Entrepheneurship and Social Challenges”, Nesrine will be presenting her working paper titled “Entrepreneurs for Survival : Tajmaat Community System”.

Conducting an ethnography of a Berber village facing political and environmental constraints, she explains how, through various entrepreneuring processes, people manage to survive and resist focusing on the newness of practices and processes leading to changing, maintaining and organizing the community context.

We wish her a great conference!
